Since opening our doors in early 2019, Harbor Stay has had the pleasure of hosting some truly inspiring retreat groups. Leaders and change-makers from many facets of the professional world have found success through immersive workshops hosted or attended at Harbor Stay. They come in search of respite, renewal, recreation and relaxation. Each new group arriving with their own unique passion, enthusiasm and dedication for the betterment of their cause.
We’ve been so inspired by these amazing retreat groups, we decided to create a platform to share and celebrate their stories in hopes of inspiring YOU! Every so often, we’ll share the stories of some of these inspiring leaders by showcasing how they were able to build stronger teams through their time spent here at Harbor Stay.
Our first-ever Retreat Spotlight shines light on the story of NancyAnn Wartman, pictured here with Harbor Stay co-owner, Jennifer Johnson.
A native of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, NancyAnn is a Senior Director with Usborne Books & More (UBAM), a direct sales company focused on improving lives and enhancing communities through literacy. UBAM is no stranger to success. They’ve been delivering on their literacy-based mission for three decades, and have been recognized three times by Fortune Magazine as one of America’s 100 Fastest Growing Small Companies!
Speaking of success, NancyAnn, a top-level leader with the company, has more than 300 leaders in her downline, each with numerous additional consultants in THEIR respective downlines. After seeing how strategic social media marketing helped take her business to new heights, NancyAnn set her sights on empowering her team to achieve the same growth.
After spending a revitalizing weekend at Harbor Stay with the CinchShare team, she saw an opportunity to bring her team together at the Melbourne, Florida property for some social media training of their own. NancyAnn decided she would host a few specialized social media boot camps for her regional UBAM sales teams, and moved forward in booking multiple retreat dates for the following year.
“Our goal was to provide social media training and an opportunity to strengthen friendships, all while enjoying this incredible place,” Wartman said. “I thought if I could bring them together at Harbor Stay to learn, they’d start by feeling GREAT. When you feel great and are enjoying each other’s company, then the learning is more impactful.”
